An independent company that helps California homeowners sort out solar and batteries
We answer the questions, look at the bill and the roof, and connect homes that fit with a licensed California installer. If a home isn't a fit, we say so.
Who we are
California Sustainable Energy is a trade name of Solar Sales Academy LLC. We work with homeowners across California served by PG&E, Southern California Edison, and SDG&E. We are not a utility, not a government program, and not affiliated with any of those utilities, any community power provider, the Center for Sustainable Energy, or the State of California.
What we do
You answer a few questions about your home. Then a consultant goes through a recent power bill and an overhead view of your roof with you, on the phone, and tells you whether solar and a battery make sense. If they do, you get the rate, the term, and the system design in writing before you sign anything.
Who installs it
We don't install anything ourselves. We work with several licensed California contractors across the state and match each home to one that serves its area. Your agreement names the installer and its California license number, and you can look that number up before you sign.
Before you sign anything
California asks every homeowner to read its Solar Consumer Protection Guide before a solar agreement. California law also gives you three business days to cancel a home improvement contract, five if you're 65 or older.
Contact
We work by phone, so there's no showroom to visit. Calls with our team are recorded.
