Privacy Policy
Last updated November 1, 2026. California Sustainable Energy is a trade name of Solar Sales Academy LLC. "We" and "us" in this policy mean Solar Sales Academy LLC.
We help California homeowners find out whether their home is a fit for rooftop solar and a battery. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
Information you give us
- Contact details from our forms and ads: first name, mobile number, and sometimes email.
- Home and energy details: whether you own the home, your ZIP code and street address, your utility, your usual bill range, the age of your roof, whether you already have solar, what you want to fix, and who handles the bill.
- Communication records: texts, calls, and emails between you and our team. Calls are recorded, and we tell you so on the call.
Information collected automatically
- Device and visit details: your browser and device type, IP address, the pages you visit on this site, and the page that sent you here.
- Ad details: which of our ads you clicked, through campaign tags and ad click IDs in the link, and cookies set by Meta's advertising tools.
How we use it
- To see whether your home may be a fit for solar or a battery, and to prepare for your call.
- To contact you about your request by phone, text, or email, including with automated technology, at the number you gave us. Consent to be contacted is not a condition of any purchase.
- To schedule, confirm, and remind you of your call.
- To measure which of our ads lead to requests, so we spend less on ads that don't work.
How we share it
- The licensed California installer that would do the work, and the company that would own or finance your system, only as needed to check your home and, if you move forward, to install it.
- Service providers that run our scheduling, calling, texting, email, and hosting, who may use it only to provide those services to us.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram). We use the Meta Pixel and Meta's Conversions API to measure our ads and show them to people likely to be interested. This sends Meta details about your visit, and when you submit a request, a scrambled (hashed) copy of your phone number, first name, and ZIP code. Under California law this can count as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out below.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we never share your mobile number or texting consent with anyone for their own marketing.
Your privacy choices
You can opt out of sharing for advertising. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out automatically. To opt out on this browser, use the button below. To opt out everywhere, including for information we already have, email us.
Your California rights
California residents may ask us what personal information we hold about them, ask us to correct or delete it, and opt out of sharing. To make a request, email privacy@californiasustainableenergy.org. We may need to confirm it's you before acting on a request. We respond within 45 days and will not treat you differently for asking. To stop texts, reply STOP to any message.
Retention and security
We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires, and we limit access to the people and systems that need it to serve you.
Children
This site is for homeowners and is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
